Here you will find the most beautiful **cycling tours** I know in (and around) my home region of **Waldhessen**, which is located in the middle of Germany.

The region is hilly and has a great amount of **forrests**. So there are plenty of possibilities for **relaxed cycling** **along a river** **as well as climbing some quite challenging peaks** - and everything in between. 
One special thing is easy climbing by using **former railway tracks** that were changed to wonderful cycling paths in the middle of nature. Additionally there are **historical sites** like (e. g.) medieval town centers, the former Iron Curtain with interesting relicts or the Wartburg, where Luther translated the bible.

All route descriptions will be full of useful information in English and German, photos etc. **If there are still questions, don't hestitate to contact me**; normally I will respond within two days.

At this time this is just the beginning, routes will follow one by another (soon) and it will be an ongoing process. 
There will be long and short routes, easy ones and challenging ones as well as everything in between.

Hier kann man die schönsten Radrouten finden, die ich in meiner Heimatregion **Waldhessen** in der Mitte Deutschlands und der Umgebung kenne.

Die Region ist hügelig und hat einen großen **Waldanteil**. Daher gibt es viele Möglichkeiten sowohl für **entspannte Touren** **am Fluss** **wie auch durchaus herausfordernde Anstiege** auf die Gipfel des Mittelgebirges - und alles dazwischen.
Eine Besonderheit sind die **alten Bahnstrecken**, die zu wunderbaren Radwegen mitten durch die Natur umfunktioniert wurden und auf denen man entspannt Höhenmeter überwinden kann.
Außerdem gibt es **historische Sehenswürdigkeiten** wie (z. B.) mittelalrtliche Stadtkerne, die ehemalige innerdeutsche Grenze mit interessanten Überresten oder die Wartburg, wo Luther die Bibel übersetzte.

Alle Routenbeschreibungen werden voller nürtlicher Informationen auf Deutsch und Englisch wie auch Bilder etc. sein. **Wenn noch Fragen bleiben, bitte nicht zögern, mich zu kontaktieren** - ich antworte in der Regel innerhalb von zwei Tagen.

Im Moment ist das hier nur der Anfang. Die routen kommen (bald) eine nach der anderen und es werden fortwährend neue Strecken dazu kommen.
Es wird lange und kurze Strecken geben, einfache und herausfordernde sowie alles dazwischen.

The tour leads through forests and fields and to honorable old trees as well as the Neuenstein castle with a rose garden.

Eine sehr abwechslungsreiche Runde durchs Geistal hin zum Predigerstuhl am Ende des Tals.
Es geht durch Wälder und Felder und zu ehrwürdig alten Bäumen sowie zur Burg mit Rosengarten.
